Elite Trekkers Find a Guide

Booking Procedures

How booking works with Elite Trekkers: send an enquiry, we help you choose your team, pay a small deposit, and settle the balance in person in Nepal.

There is no checkout on this site and no instant booking. Hiring a guide or a porter is a conversation, because the right team depends on your route, your dates and how you like to walk. Here is what happens.

1. Send us a request

Tell us roughly where you want to go, when, how many of you there are, and whether you are after a guide, a porter, or both. You do not need a finished plan. If you are still deciding between routes, say so and we will help you work it out.

One person reads every request and replies within two working days, from Kathmandu.

2. We help you choose your team

We will talk through what you actually need. That covers the size of your team, whether a porter makes sense for your load, permits and park passes, and anything else the trip involves. If we think you need less than you have asked for, we will tell you.

Nothing is committed at this stage and there is no obligation to go ahead.

3. A small deposit confirms it

Once you are happy with the plan, a small deposit secures your team and your dates. That is all we ask for up front.

4. The balance is paid in person, in Nepal

You settle the rest when we meet you in Nepal, before you set off. It means you have met the people you are walking with and seen that everything is as described before you hand over the bulk of the money.
