Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

  • Sorry, we couldn't find the dates you specified

With a time requirement of only 5 days and a maxiumum sleeping altitude of just 2800m the Ghrepani Poon Hill Trek is perfect for those without the time to acclimatise for a longer trek

For people with a very short time frame or for people who are unsure of their capabilities, the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is for you..

This short but very sweet trek only takes 5 days to complete, with the highest point being at a still rather impressive 3210m. It is the perfect “first-timer” trek as you will get to experience altitude and test your stamina. However it is still a fantastic trek for the more experienced. After passing through Ghorepani, the amazing views from Poon Hill allow you to see the Annapurna range, the Dhaulagiri range, the Lampung Himal range and the Manasula range. You won't have to sleep at a very high altitude for this trek, as the highest sleeping point is 2800m.

Our local staff are paid a decent living wage, get provided with all the right gear and are always well looked after. Even on a short trek, we don't drop our standards for ethics.

We highly recommend doing this route in spring (March in this hemisphere) as you will be surrounded by up to 9 different kinds of rhododendron flowers - although it is a fantastic trip any time of year, as the forests are always around every corner. This is the perfect place to learn more about Nepali and Sherpa culture as it will take you through an area of the Magar people (one of the oldest ethnic culture in Nepal) and an area where some of the Gurung people live.

If you want to start and end your trip with us in Pokhara instead of Kathmandu, just get in contact with us and we can work something out!

It won't take much time – but it will be worth your time, every time!
